When you click the “Add new” link, you’ll see a link just below the title that says “create a bookmarklet”. This link takes you to a page where you can create new “bookmarklet”, allowing you to add items to your database using information from another page.
You’ll see a list of the fields in your table, with the following options:
- Page Title - set this field to the title of the page you’re looking at
- Page URL - set this field to the URL of the page you’re looking at
- Selected Text - set this field to the currently highlighted text
- Prompt for Text (new!) - pop up a dialog and ask what the text for this field should be.
After you click “Create”, you’ll have a link that you can drag into your toolbar (or “bookmark this link”) to easily and automatically add entries to Lazybase.
Here’s an entry on using the bookmarklet feature to create your own bookmarking tool (like furl or delicious)
